Cookie? Brownie? Brookie? Crownie?

So I was browsing FoodGawker, as I often do, looking for recipes that involve brownie mix, and I stumbled across this beautiful invention: cookie dough with brownie batter mixed in to make some sort of hybrid brownie cookie. Yes, cookie dough. With brownies batter. A combination of two of the most classic and delicious baked goods ever. And yes, if you are having a David After the Dentist "Is this real life?" moment, they are real life. And I made them. And they were delicious.

I made brownies (as seen here), and while making those, I took out one cup of batter and refrigerated it. While my brownies were in the oven, I whipped up this simple cookie dough recipe and added brownie batter.

It was simple, but genius, and I'm rather surprised that no one thought it up sooner. And why has this not become a thing? Maybe it would become a thing if we got it trending on twitter: #browniebattercookies Oh yeah. It's gonna happen.

Hahaha, you can see the brownies in the background. Yeah, we have a whole pan of brownies and dozens of cookies lying around the house right now. It's great.

They baked into monster globs, which makes them not the greatest for just having as a snack, but also incredibly delicious!

Toll House chocolate chip cookies are classics, to some, but also, when you are a chocolate chip cookie connoisseur, who has had the New York Times Number One chocolate chip cookies, they leave much to be desired. But adding brownie batter raises their deliciousness by like ten points. No joke. I didn't know what to expect when I was making these, but now I know that I want to make them again, and ASAP! There's really not much else I can say on the matter, other than: A) they are amazing B) You should make them C) why are you still reading this? Go make them!
